John Butler: "A good performance. If we can hold him together now for another few races there should be another one or two wins in him before the end of the season. He got tired the last day after Lingfield, which was a bit worrying, but the last few days he's been very good. He's in here on Thursday but he's probably a doubtful runner and we'll probably come back for a race at Lingfield later in the month. We'll see how he is tomorrow and take it from there. It's going to take a serious a horse to break that record."

Tom Queally: "He's physically a big horse. He's got a bit of size, which is always a help. He's got character, he's very genuine and gives you everything. He's obviously had problems along the way, which is why he hangs badly. I'm glad he's won in the colours of the Clay family and there's no-one works harder than Johnny Butler."
