Analysis
GILT EDGE GIRL has enjoyed a great season and capped it with a Group One success here. She broke smartly and was soon in control next to the rail. She clearly revelled in the testing ground and this could be her day in the limelight. Lady Of The Desert travelled strongly back in trip and picked up nicely without looking like getting to the winner. She's likely to take high rank among next year's sprinters. Mar Adentro fared best of the home sprinters and is generally progressive having been dropped markedly in trip of late. As expected Arctic bounced back to form under these conditions but needs the mud to be flying to be effective at this level. Marchand d'Or may not be the force of old but still ran his race while Prohibit defied concerns over the ground to post a career-best.
