Sam Twiston-Davies' successful association with Paul Nicholls continued as Unioniste struck in the Betfred 'Goals Galore' Chase at Aintree.

The jockey first stepped in for a spare ride for the former champion trainer when Tidal Bay won at Wetherby last month and he again impressed in the saddle aboard John Hales' grey here.
The partnership travelled strongly for much of the contest but did come off the bridle after the third last as Wishfull Thinking poured it on from the front.
However the 5/2 joint-favourite answered all of his rider's urgings and was in front going to the final fence before going on to score by seven lengths from his tiring rival.
Unioniste is a 33/1 chance with Sky Bet for the Betfred Cheltenham Gold Cup in March.
Winning owner Hales said: "We'll have to keep our feet on the ground as he is only a five-year-old, but he is some five-year-old. His jumping is very good, exceptionally so in fact.

"I've no doubt he will be a National horse in time, but obviously he won't be running next year as a six-year-old.
"Where he goes next I will leave up to Paul Nicholls, but he was brilliant today and he is yet another winner for me by Dom Alco, who is some sire."
