Big Shu (14/1) led home an Irish benefit in the Glenfarclas Cross Country Chase for Peter Maher and jockey Barry Cash.

Cash last tasted Festival success way back in 2004 on Brave Inca in the Supreme Novices' Hurdle and made a bold bid for home on the final circuit.

He took five lengths out of the field and while Shakervilz, Outlaw Pete, Bostons Angel and Sizing Australia gave chase, none could get on terms.

A big jump at the last sealed victory and Big Shu ran out a convincing victory from Shakervilz.

Having been postponed since Tuesday due to a frozen track, the start of the race was delayed by 30 minutes due to the medical assistance being given to jockey JT McNamara, injured in a fall in the previous race.
