Last season's Weatherbys Champion Bumper third warmed up for a possible tilt at the Cheltenham Festival in unusual fashion with a spin on the polytrack in the two mile contest.
Paul Townend was quick to get the grey across to the rails from his wide draw and settled the six year old in third, tracking the early pace.

Pique Sous is a 20/1 shot for glory in the Supreme Novices' with Sky Bet and a 25/1 shot for the Neptune; he has won one of his two starts to date over hurdles when easily landing a maiden at Thurles in October.
Mullins said: "I'm delighted with the way he handled the surface - he hadn't been on it before but I didn't want to run him on heavy ground.
"Whether he comes back here again or goes straight over to Cheltenham I don't know yet but we'll see how he comes out of this.
"That win has booked his ticket for the Supreme Novices' Hurdle but I don't think he'll run over jumps before then - he's a spring horse. When I saw this race come up I thought it would be a good opportunity for him."
