Dynaste continued his sparkling start over fences by running away with the Kauto Star Feltham Novices' Chase at Kempton.

David Pipe's charge had won his first two starts over the larger obstacles at Cheltenham and Newbury and those who sent him off as the 8/13 favourite barely had a moment of concern here.

Tom Scudamore anchored him in the rear of the field through the early stages but he jumped to the front four out and the race was over.

Foot perfect down the home straight, the six-year-old coasted past the line fully nine lengths clear of nearest pursuer Hadrian's Approach (12/1).

Sky Bet were hugely impressed with the performance and make Dynaste 2/1 favourite (from 9/2) for the RSA Chase at Cheltenham.

"He's run very, very well again," said Scudamore. "You couldn't fail to be impressed with him. As boring as it sounds, it's just straightforward with him.

"He jumped superbly as ever. He's quick and neat and just a very straightforward and good horse.

"It's difficult to compare him with Grands Crus (last year's winner). Grands Crus beat Silviniaco Conti and Bobs Worth in what felt like a proper championship race.

"They didn't go very quick (today) and I'm not sure it rode like such a good race, but it could be all the more impressive from Dynaste that he made it so straightforward."

Pipe was similarly pleased, adding: "Tom gave him a great ride and he came out of his hands a couple of times, so hopefully it's Cheltenham here we come.

"He'll probably have one more run somewhere before and as we've said before, he'll be entered in both the two-and-a-half mile race (Jewson Novices' Chase) and the three-miler.

"It's very exciting for the yard. Everyone works very hard over the Christmas period and the owner of this horse has been with us since I was at school."
