Silvestre de Sousa shone as Hunter's Light (3-1) won the Group Three Talk To Victor Rose Of Lancaster Stakes at Haydock.

The Godolphin winner tracked the early pace, which was set by Ransom Note, and crucially got first run on the chasing pack.
15-8 favourite Jet Away went in pursuit two furlongs out but never threatened to land a telling blow while Gabrial hung to his left under pressure and was always booked for third.
The official winning distance was two lengths.
Godolphin representative Diana Cooper said: "He had won three Listed races so we thought we'd step him up a notch - he has gone and done it nicely. I don't know what he'll do now, but there will be plenty of opportunities over 10 furlongs on good ground."
De Sousa said: "He travelled well, so I just let him roll. He's gone and done it well. That was a Group Three, so perhaps we'll look for a Group Two now. Everything was right for him - the trip and the ground was perfect."
