David Barron won this last year and though three-year-olds have a poor record in this, dual track and trip winner Boy In The Bar has to be respected as he looks very progressive. Dark Castle last won a race a year ago on this track and though running consistently may be a few pounds high. Misplaced Fortune has a similar profile though he hasn't won for almost two years and would probably prefer some ease in the ground. Compton Park hasn't been in the best of form since returning from Spain with Les Eyre so in an open event a chance is taken with THATCHERITE. Tony Coyle's grey missed the break at Catterick so that should be ignored and he did well to get up at Beverley previously after being impeded.
Misplaced Fortune 3-1fav (9-9) Mid-division, ridden and headway over 1f out, soon every chance, weakened and lost 2nd place towards finish, 3rd of 10, 1 1/4l behind My Name Is Rio (9-6) at Pontefract 6f hcp 0-90 (3) sft.
Compton Park 7-2fav (9-5) Slowly into stride, held up towards rear, pushed along halfway, weakened over 1f out, 8th of 9, 16l behind Kimberella (9-6) at Ripon 6f hcp 0-85 (4) gd in Apr.
Boy In The Bar 5-1 (9-0) Tracked leaders, went 2nd 4f out, led well over 1f out, soon hung left, clear final furlong, ran on strongly, won at Pontefract 6f 3yo stk 0-75 (5) gd in Jun beating Naggers (9-0) by 5l, 7 ran.
Sunraider (IRE) 6-1 (9-4) Towards rear, ridden over 1f out, switched right inside final furlong, kept on well towards finish, 4th of 10, 2 3/4l behind My Name Is Rio (9-6) at Pontefract 6f hcp 0-90 (3) sft.
Ruby's Day 8-1 (9-10) Towards rear, stayed on from over 1f out, 4th of 7, 1 3/4l behind Guishan (8-10) at Nottingham 6f flls hcp 0-80 (4) gf.
Twenty One Choice (IRE) 25-1 (8-5) Soon raced in far side group, 14th halfway, kept on same pace from over 1f out, 15th of 23, 8l behind Line Of Reason (8-3) at Curragh 6f hcp gf in Jun.
Thatcherite (IRE) 10-1 (9-2) Hampered and bumped start in rear, ridden 2f out, never a factor, 6th of 8, 6l behind Lady Frances (9-1) at Catterick 6f hcp 0-85 (4) gf.
Tellovoi (IRE) 33-1 (9-6) Pulled hard, with leader, led over 3f out, headed over 2f out, weakened final furlong, 8th of 11, 6l behind Tenor (9-6) at Lingfield 1m stks 0-90 (3) pol.
Ben Hall (IRE) 20-1 (8-9) Chased leaders, ridden and edged right from over 2f out, weakened inside final furlong, 5th of 8, 5l behind Forest Edge (9-3) at Leicester 7f hcp 0-90 (3) gf.
