Our Gabrial certainly wouldn't be winning out of turn here but it remains to be seen if the step up to a mile will suit. Hartnell is proven over the trip, however, and may not be badly treated on his handicap debut but Desert Society has more to do than when scoring at Brighton and Mr Gallivanter only won by a short-head at Hamilton. ACT OF CHARITY overcame trouble in-running to win easily at Pontefract and may be capable of finding the necessary improvement to double his tally here, though Rock 'N' Roll Star finished third when Hartnell was second at Thirsk in August and is 11lb better off. Ahoy There got off the mark at Nottingham last week but carries a penalty in this.
Hartnell 11-4 (9-3) With leader, led over 2f out, headed approaching final furlong, kept on same pace, 2nd of 5, 4l behind Piping Rock (9-3) at Salisbury 7f 2yo nov stk (4) hvy.

Mr Gallivanter (IRE) 11-2 (9-5) Slow into stride soon close up, pushed along and slightly outpaced 3f out, ridden and headway entering final furlong, driven inside final furlong, led post, won at Hamilton 1m 2yo mdn (5) gs in Sep beating Vivere (9-0) by shd, 6 ran.
Act Of Charity (IRE) 5-2 (9-5) Tracked leaders on inside, effort when not clear run briefly and switched left well over 1f out, led over 1f out, edged right under pressure inside final furlong, stayed on well, won at Pontefract 1m 2yo mdn (4) gd in Sep beating Man Of Harlech (9-2) by 3l, 7 ran.
