Musical Wedge was entered at Wincanton yesterday having been withdrawn from a similar race at Stratford on Saturday. Mic's Delight jumped poorly and was well beaten at Newbury on Friday and it's hard to have much faith in Arthur's Pass nowadays but Sin Bin is probably better than he showed when pulled up here in November and has been second in a jumper's bumper since. BROWNS BROOK has been raised a further 10lb since failing to land his hat-trick at Leicester but this looks a weak contest and Venetia Williams' charge may be capable of a return to winning ways as Duneen Point may need this.
Musical Wedge 16-1 (10-12) Held up in touch, not fluent 7th or 10th, went 2nd after 13th until next, weakened before 4 out, 5th of 7, 50l behind Flying Award (11-7) at Exeter 3m 6f hcp chs 0-125 (3) hvy.
Duneen Point (IRE) 11-2 (11-9) Towards rear, pushed along after 4th, chased leaders before 9th, not fluent 3 out, one pace, weakened run-in, 5th of 7, 14l behind Nothingbutthetruth (10-3) at Fontwell 2m 6f hcp chs 0-110 (4) gd in Sep.
Sin Bin (IRE) 11-10fav (11-2) Close up on inside, led over 5f out, ridden over 2f out, headed over 1f out, no impression on winner inside final furlong, stayed on same pace, 2nd of 9, 2 1/4l behind Mitchell's Way (11-2) at Southwell 2m 2f n h flat (4) std in Feb.
Mic's Delight (IRE) 6-1 (11-5) Held up, mistakes, in touch at back of field 4 out, weakened next, 9th of 10, 17l behind Doctor Foxtrot (11-2) at Newbury 2m 6f hcp chs 0-125 (3) gd.
Arthur's Pass 12-1 (11-8) Tracked leaders, blundered 9th, soon weakened, tailed off, pulled up before 3 out, in a race won by Galway Jack (11-10) at Southwell 2m 4f hcp chs 0-135 (3) sft, 6 ran.
Browns Brook (IRE) 6-4fav (12-4) Tracked leaders, not fluent 7th, ridden after 3 out, stayed on same pace approaching last, 3rd of 12, 7l behind Kentford Legend (11-12) at Leicester 2m 7f hcp chs 0-100 (5) sft in Feb.
