Island Express, Jermatt and Cincinnati Kit have all shown some ability but you'd expect one or two of the three-year-olds in this to be more progressive. First Serve made the frame for the first time at Wolverhampton and had Lady Farah behind. But that was over 6f and we prefer the claims of Dangerous Age and MAGIC ICE. The former wasn't beaten far on her debut over track and trip but has the worst of the draw today so the vote goes to John Berry's filly, who was still a little green when a beaten favourite at Wolverhampton last month but should be more the finished article now.
Cincinnati Kit 12-1 (8-9) Bumped slightly start, tracked leaders, went 2nd 2f out, no impression 1f out, lost 3 places inside final furlong, 5th of 7, 4 1/2l behind Roy's Legacy (9-0) at Kempton 5f hcp 0-60 (6) pol in Sep.
Lady Farah 14-1 (8-8) Mid-division, headway on outside over 3f out, chased leaders over 1f out, soon hung left and weakened, 8th of 12, 9l behind Lead Role (8-8) at Wolverhampton 6f mdn fll (5) pol.
Dangerous Age 5-1 (8-6) Slowly into stride, soon chasing leaders, wide on home turn, rallied to 3rd and kept on inside final furlong, 3rd of 6, 1 1/2l behind Outbid (8-1) at Lingfield 5f mdn auc stks (6) pol.
Twist And Twirl 100-1 (7-12) Prominent on outside, lost place over 3f out, soon behind, last of 7, 15l behind Iggy (8-10) at Wolverhampton 6f mdn auc stks (5) pol.
Magic Ice 5-6fav (8-7) Tracked leaders, effort over 1f out, every chance inside final furlong, kept on same pace, 2nd of 3, 1/2l behind Faffa (8-7) at Wolverhampton 5f 2yo mdn auc stks (6) pol in Dec.
Island Express (IRE) 20-1 (9-8) Pulled very hard tracking leaders, effort over 1f out, stayed on same pace final furlong, 3rd of 7, 3 1/2l behind Tanghan (8-12) at Lingfield 5f mdn stks (5) pol.
Jermatt 7-2 (9-13) Always prominent, bumped 3f out, ridden to challenge over 1f out, ran on, no chance with winner, 2nd of 7, 3 1/2l behind Tanghan (8-12) at Lingfield 5f mdn stks (5) pol.
Copper Leyf 18-1 (9-0) Dwelt tracked leaders, ridden 2f out, plugged on one pace, 4th of 5, 10l behind Golden Flower (8-12) at Wolverhampton 5f 2yo mdn stks (5) pol in Dec.
Green Millionaire Green Desert colt out of Millyant.
First Serve (IRE) 10-1 (8-8) With leader, driven to challenge over 1f out, soon hung left, kept on well, 3rd of 12, 2l behind Lead Role (8-8) at Wolverhampton 6f mdn fll (5) pol.
