Queen Alphabet came from way off the pace to win at Roscommon earlier this month and is probably open to further improvement. But PINK HAT is likely to start a short price for this having made a winning start to her career at Kilbeggan, where she appeared to have any amount in hand. Keith's Delight was well beaten here last month after winning at Downpatrick but Angel Chorus showed promise at Limerick and Naas before finding the company too hot at Punchestown in April and David Wachman has an interesting newcomer in the shape of Fair Funny, who is by King's Theatre and is a half-sister to a couple of winning jumpers.
Queen Alphabet (IRE) 11-2 (10-9) Waited with towards rear and well off pace, closer order to chase leaders but still a lot to do approaching straight, closed to challenge from over 1f out, soon led, stayed on well to hold on at the finish, won at Roscommon 2m 4yo nhf gf beating No Cash Flow (11-0) by hd, 17 ran.
Pink Hat (IRE) 5-2 (11-7) Chased leaders, 5th halfway, headway into 2nd 2f out, ridden to narrow lead 1f out, kept on well final furlong, won at Kilbeggan 2m N H flat gf beating Alton Bay (11-9) by 2l, 16 ran.
Angel Chorus (IRE) 16-1 (11-0) Tracked leaders, led briefly 6f out, headed 5f out, ridden 3rd 4f out, weakened before straight, 11th of 22, 39l behind Very Wood (11-2) at Punchestown 2m 4yo nhf sft in Apr.
Keith's Delight (IRE) 13-2 (11-2) Waited with towards rear, closer in moderate 6th under 4f out, moderate 4th and no impression from over 2f out, kept on same pace, 5th of 11, 19l behind Supreme Bailerina (11-9) at Wexford 2m mrs N H flat gf in Jul.
