Dark And Dangerous ended a poor run of form with victory at Catterick earlier this month but that was a poor contest and more will be needed here off a 4lb higher mark. Prince Of Dreams is often let down by his jumping but Alwaystheoptimist is back on a winning mark, though hasn't had a run since November. SANDS COVE probably ran his best race since arriving in this country when third to Greywell Boy at Sandown last time. The better going here will suit and he can land this for Charlie Mann with neither Overclear nor Olympian Boy showing much so far this term.
Overclear 12-1 (11-2) Chased leaders, went 3rd 8th until before 3 out, weakened soon after, tailed off, 6th of 10, 48l behind Midnight Sail (11-12) at Sandown 2m 4f hcp chs 0-130 (3) gs.
Prince Of Dreams 9-1 (10-4) Tracked leader until 2nd, stayed handy, lost place before 4 out, weakened approaching next, 8th of 9, 45l behind Doeslessthanme (11-1) at Doncaster 2m hcp chs 0-145 (2) gd.
Sands Cove (IRE) 7-1 (11-7) Tracked leading trio until 5th, effort and squeezed through soon after 3 out, stayed on to 3rd at the last, kept on same pace run-in, 3rd of 6, 2 1/4l behind Greywell Boy (11-9) at Sandown 2m hcp chs 0-125 (3) sft.
Dark And Dangerous (IRE) 9-4fav (11-12) Made all, pressed 4 out, ridden before last, held on well, won at Catterick 2m nov hcp chs 0-115 (4) gs beating Force Of Habit (10-1) by 1 1/4l, 5 ran.
Olympian Boy (IRE) 9-1 (11-8) Always towards rear, 6th of 8, 18l behind Zaru (11-11) at Newcastle 2m hcp chs 0-120 (4) gd in Dec.
Alwaystheoptimist 13-2 (10-12) In rear, blundered 4 out, soon went remote 4th, never dangerous, 4th of 7, 19l behind Workbench (10-9) at Taunton 2m nov hcp chs 0-125 (3) gd in Nov.
