Verdict
Spiker The Biker won once from 18 starts between the flags and has yet to hit the target under Rules despite running 21 times. He's well enough handicapped but difficult to fancy with that record while Valley Of Thrushes hasn't run over hurdles for over three years though he's better handicapped having won a Limerick handicap chase in December. Sumkindasuprstar is still a maiden over timber but a massive 28lb lower than over fences where he's won three times. He has to be on the short-list but it's SUPER VIC who is handed the vote. Colin Bowe's mare has had very little racing but looked a progressive type when narrowly beaten by Twin Plan in a Fairyhouse handicap a couple of weeks ago and her rider's allowance is a major bonus.
