Gang Warfare progressed considerably from his first run when runner-up at Ripon earlier this month when apparently unfancied. He's more than good enough to pick up a small maiden on that evidence which could well be here in such an ordinary affair. However, Saeed Bin Suroor has enjoyed a good strike rate here over the past five years and his Sakhee colt, TABJEEL, is taken to make a winning debut for Godolphin. Betty Bere showed ability first time up when beaten less than five lengths in a Polytrack maiden at Kempton and could well take a hand with that experience under her belt.
Betty Bere (FR) 11-4 (8-13) Mid-division, headway over 2f out, chased leaders over 1f out, never on terms, 5th of 11, 5l behind Cameo Tiara (8-13) at Kempton 1m mdn fll (5) pol in Apr.
Gang Warfare 20-1 (9-5) With leader, lost place 2f out, soon outpaced, ridden over 1f out, stayed on to regain 2nd near finish, no chance with winner, 2nd of 7, 2 3/4l behind Moohaarib (9-5) at Ripon 1m 3yo mdn (5) gd.
Tabjeel Sakhee colt out of Intishaar.
Walk Like A Giant 28-1 (9-5) Tracked leaders on inside, kept on same pace and no impression final 2f, lost modest 4th inside final furlong, 5th of 8, 14l behind Art Of War (9-5) at Ripon 1m 1f 3yo mdn (5) gd in May.
Norfolk Sound Pastoral Pursuits filly out of Cayman Sound.
