STEADY ED made mistakes when a close third at Thurles last time but stayed on gamely at the finish and looks well enough treated to gain his first success over fences. Lascalahall is closely matched with John Walsh' charge on a line through Saoirse Dun, who has beaten them both recently, though he ran very poorly at Thurles last time while Mattara was still in touch when falling on his latest start and can get involved with a clear round. The Shoe Doctor ran a shocker last time but was in touch and in with every chance when falling on his previous start so shouldn't be dismissed.
