In depth

Verdict

Troubled would be the obvious form pick on his two runs earlier this year when narrowly beaten in better maidens than this. However, he ran very poorly in his two starts last month and is best watched for the moment. Moyas Charm ran easily her best race when narrowly defeated over the C&D in May but hasn't performed at that level in two subsequent starts but Inish Island looks a real threat having joined Willie Mullins as he has shown plenty of promise over shorter trips. He'll be fit enough for his reappearance but his victory in a Clonmel bumper means he has to concede 8lb to ANCIENT DAYS and that could prove beyond him. John Queally's charge has always looked as though this trip would suit and ran really well over the minimum at Galway last month. Winning point-to-pointer Torn Asunder looks next best despite an expensive defeat in a Cork bumper last month.
