This looks really tricky despite the small field. Both Arabian Flight and Nick The Odds are recent winners over course and distance but have plenty to find on today's terms with the remaining pair. MY SON MAX is dropped in class and wears a visor for the first time for his debut on the Fibresand. He's the one to beat on recent form if taking to the surface, though he has to give plenty of weight to the younger Royal Warrior. The latter made a winning debut over 5f here nearly a year ago but it doesn't bode well to see him return at this lowly level.
Royal Warrior 6-4fav (9-5) Dwelt soon prominent, led halfway, ridden and hung right when pressed entering final furlong, asserted near finish, won at Southwell 5f 2yo mdn auc stks (6) fbs in Apr beating Far Gaze (9-5) by 1 3/4l, 5 ran.
My Son Max 14-1 (9-4) Went badly left start, held up in mid-division, pushed along inside final 3f, ridden over 1f out, never dangerous, 9th of 10, 4l behind Glastonberry (8-12) at Kempton 6f hcp 0-85 (4) pol.
Nick The Odds (IRE) 5-2fav (9-13) Awkwardly away, soon close up, ridden to chase winner 4f out, weakened final furlong, 5th of 9, 9l behind Beautiful Stranger (9-5) at Southwell 7f 3yo hcp 0-65 (6) fbs in Feb.
Arabian Flight 5-4fav (8-13) Close up, ridden halfway, headway under pressure to chase leader over 1f out, led inside final furlong, stayed on, won at Southwell 7f sell stks (6) fbs in Feb beating Alpha Tauri (9-1) by 2l, 8 ran.
