FRONTIER FIGHTER saves his best for this surface although he still ran well in a higher grade at Lingfield last time despite finishing only sixth. His earlier defeat of The Lock Master over track and trip gives David O'Meara's charge every chance and he's taken to confirm superiority with Naabegha. Verse Of Love has the form on Polytrack to figure but he found third-placed Apostle too good at Lingfield last time and both encounter the Fibresand for the first time today. Bedloe's Island has been running well over 5f here but has yet to attempt this longer trip while the likes of Hannahs Turn and Pabusar are stepping up in class on the back of recent placed efforts in sprints.
Bedloe's Island (IRE) 8-1 (8-9) Outpaced in rear, headway over 1f out, soon edged left, never nearer, 4th of 11, 4 1/2l behind Silken Express (8-11) at Southwell 5f hcap (2) fbs in Jan.
Pabusar 5-1 (10-0) Steadied start, keen held up towards rear, ridden over 1f out, stayed on to go 2nd inside final furlong, no threat to winner, 2nd of 6, 2 3/4l behind Jubilee Brig (10-0) at Kempton 6f clm stks (5) pol.
Frontier Fighter 16-1 (9-3) Chased leaders, ridden and unable to quicken over 1f out, went one paced 3rd inside final furlong, weakened and lost places towards finish, 6th of 13, 2 1/2l behind Alfred Hutchinson (9-1) at Lingfield 7f hcap (2) pol in Jan.
Apostle (IRE) 7-1 (9-5) Prominent, effort over 1f out, stayed on strongly closing stages, 3rd of 11, 1 1/2l behind Rebellious Guest (9-2) at Lingfield 1m hcp 0-95 (3) pol.
Hannahs Turn 11-4 (9-2) Led, 2 lengths clear halfway, ridden over 1f out, headed inside final furlong, lost 2nd close home, 3rd of 7, 2 1/2l behind Abi Scarlet (8-4) at Southwell 6f hcp 0-85 (4) fbs.
Verse Of Love 16-1 (9-3) Led, hard driven when challenged over 1f out, headed inside final furlong, no extra, 6th of 11, 3 1/2l behind Rebellious Guest (9-2) at Lingfield 1m hcp 0-95 (3) pol.
Joe Eile (IRE) 25-1 (9-6) Led and disputed early on outer, headed after 2f, 4th halfway, ridden 2f out, soon no extra, 9th of 11, 8l behind Balmont Mast (9-6) at Curragh 6f Listed stks (1) gd in Oct.
Naabegha 16-1 (8-8) Slowly into stride, pulled hard, held up in mid-division, pushed along and not quicken over 2f out, ridden and weakened final furlong, 10th of 13, 5l behind Alfred Hutchinson (9-1) at Lingfield 7f hcap (2) pol in Jan.
