Verdict

Mother Jones generally competes at a slightly higher level and won a handicap over the track and trip in November. David Evans also runs Dark Lane, who won a Lingfield seller and a Kempton claimer at the turn of the year but has to concede weight all round. ABOVE THE STARS has never won on the surface but has been running well enough to get the vote here and would have finished much closer at Lingfield last time but for failing to obtain a clear run. Lady Prodee hasn't had much racing but has won here and at Kempton and has run better than her finishing position suggests in her last two starts so should get into the firing line.
