A couple of recent course and distance winners stand out in this. Plus Jamais beat a subsequent winner here last time and has leading claims despite a 7lb rise. But FINAL ASSAULT ran well behind Great Link in a higher grade handicap at this course last month having won a maiden hurdle here before that. He gets the nod to return to winning ways given Sam Lord has struggled since scoring at Newcastle earlier in the year and Scimon Templar is upped in class after finding Rosquero too good at this track on his latest start. Indepub has been back on a winning mark for some time without getting any closer.
