Verdict
NEWSTEAD ABBEY is likely to start a short price despite not having raced since October. A length defeat in a nursery at Newmarket was last year's best effort and given he's well clear of Loulou Vuitton and Eyeline on official ratings, he should be opening his account for David Barron in this. Batchworth Lady has gone close at Kempton in between a couple of more modest efforts and may prove next best as neither of the newcomers make any appeal on breeding.
