Sin Bin has already won a couple of bumpers and will be fancied to complete a quick double for Paul Nicholls if our selection in the first has obliged. But this could turn out to be an informative contest as a number of these should come into their own now tackling hurdles. Tim Vaughan runs Captain Moonman and In The Dock, while Cheat The Cheater was second in a Ffos Las bumper in April. Shotgun Paddy won in that sphere at Thurles in February but just as interesting is TOLKEINS TANGO. Victor Dartnall's gelding beat Bladoun, who runs in the opener, on his racecourse debut here last season and wasn't beaten far on a return visit under a penalty in March. This longer trip should suit and he looks a nice prospect.
Shotgun Paddy (IRE) 14-1 (11-6) Soon mid-division, closed over 5f out, soon 2nd, ridden before straight, challenged from 2f out, led over 1f out and quickly clear, stayed on strongly, won at Thurles 2m N H flat in Feb beating Jupitor (11-9) by 9l, 12 ran.
Sin Bin (IRE) 2-1fav (11-4) Chased leaders, pushed along and slightly outpaced over 4f out, stayed on to 2nd over 2f out, ridden to lead over 1f out, driven out, won at Fontwell 2m 2f NH flat (6) gd in Apr beating Ruby Glow (10-1) by 1 1/4l, 9 ran.
Cheat The Cheater (IRE) 3-1 (11-4) Chased leader, led over 5f out until over 4f out, soon no chance with very easy winner, 2nd of 9, 15l behind Whisper (10-12) at Ffos Las 2m nhf (6) gd in Apr.
In The Dock (IRE) 5-1 (10-12) With leader, not fluent 2nd, soon led, headed 7th, weakened before 2 out where mistake, hit last, 6th of 8, 21l behind Littledean Jimmy (10-12) at Newton Abbot 2m 6f nh nov hdl (4) gd in May.
Captain Moonman (IRE) 14-1 (11-2) In touch, ridden and lost place before 8th, behind and pulled up before 4 out, in a race won by Makethe Mostofnow (11-9) at Ffos Las 3m nh nov hdl (4) sft in Mar, 12 ran.
Tolkeins Tango (IRE) 6-1 (11-0) Held up mid-division, headway before 4f out, one pace, 8th of 16, 17l behind Melodic Rendezvous (11-3) at Chepstow 2m NH flat (6) gs in Mar.
Sertao (FR) 18-1 (11-0) Led until after 1st, tracked leaders, weakened after 7th, tailed off, last of 10, well behind Wilton Milan (11-0) at Worcester 2m 4f mdn hdl (5) gs in Oct.
