Tony Carroll trained the winner of this last year and has two entries this time. Boston Blue has had a couple of runs on the Polytrack since finishing well beaten at Doncaster but GREAT LINK looks the pick as he's in a rich vein of form and won in a higher grade at Ayr last month. Lucy Gardner is the most experienced rider in this. Huntingdon scorer Should I Stay has improved over longer trips lately while Kastani Beach has been chasing, as has Old Way. Alanjou needs to improve on what he's shown so far.
Old Way (IRE) 4-1 (11-0) Held up towards rear and in touch, in rear from 9th, weakened from 13th, pulled up before 5 out, in a race won by High Ron (11-4) at Southwell 3m nov hcp chs 0-115 (4) hvy in Jan, 5 ran.
Kastani Beach (IRE) 10-1 (10-10) Tracked leader from 1st, led 3rd until 4th, stayed prominent in chasing group, 4th and one pace 2 out (normal 4 out), 5th of 10, 24l behind Lord Navits (10-5) at Leicester 2m nov hcp chs 0-115 (4) sft in Feb.
Should I Stay (FR) 15-2 (11-1) Made virtually all, clear with one other to 5th, went left 2 out, soon ridden, hard pressed last, kept on under pressure flat, won at Huntingdon 2m 4f hcp hdl 0-110 (4) sft in Feb beating Hail Tiberius (10-8) by 5l, 6 ran.
Captain Cardington (IRE) 12-1 (9-9) Soon led, headed 1st, ridden after 3rd, stayed on same pace approaching last, 3rd of 7, 7l behind Lord Protector (11-2) at Chepstow 2m hcp hdl 0-135 (3) hvy in Feb.
Great Link 7-1 (9-12) Held up in 3rd, headway before 3 out, led before next, ridden between last 2, kept on under pressure flat, won at Ayr 2m hcp hdl 0-135 (3) hvy in Feb beating Trucking Along (11-9) by 1 1/4l, 5 ran.
Alanjou (FR) 6-1 (10-7) Tracked leader, ridden before 2 out, soon weakened, 4th of 11, 24l behind Pink Gin (11-4) at Towcester 2m mdn hdl (4) hvy in Jan.
Boston Blue 40-1 (11-5) Tracked leaders, went 2nd before 4 out, pushed along after, led before 3 out, weakened before 2 out, 10th of 12, well behind Forced Family Fun (10-7) at Doncaster 2m hcp hdl 0-120 (4) gs in Jan.
