Swendab won this last year and Tom Sawyer the year before but both enter the fray with a poor recent run on the track behind them. Most of Cardinal's victories have come on ground with plenty of give or Polytrack so he could do with some rain and stablemate Indian Tinker has been getting beaten regularly in lower class events. Vodka Chaser has only won once, on this track in June, but hasn't been beaten far in subsequent races and should get into the action. AGERZAM has mainly raced on Polytrack where he's collected two victories and potential punters would need to forgive a poor recent run at Salisbury but he's competed well at a higher level than this and is taken to break his duck on Turf.
Agerzam 9-2 (9-11) Soon pushed along off the pace in 5th, edged left to outside and driven along over 1f out, no progress final furlong, last of 8, 5l behind Extrasolar (9-8) at Salisbury 5f hcp 0-85 (4) gf in Jun.
Indian Tinker 9-4fav (9-9) Steadied start, held up, headway towards far side 2f out, went 4th final 75 yards, no impression, 4th of 9, 3l behind Dawn Catcher (9-9) at Lingfield 5f hcp 0-70 (5) gd in Jun.
It Must Be Faith 10-1 (9-6) Led, headed over 2f out, soon pushed along and weakened, 7th of 12, 11l behind Ace Master (9-1) at Doncaster 6f hcp 0-70 (5) gd in Jul.
Vodka Chaser (IRE) 7-1 (9-1) In touch, headway halfway, ridden and every chance 2f out, led inside final furlong, soon headed, no extra, 4th of 11, 1 1/4l behind Where The Boys Are (8-12) at Doncaster 5f 3yo hcp 0-70 (5) gf.
Commanche 12-1 (8-7) Chased leaders, ridden halfway, lost place over 2f out, last of 8, 16l behind Go Far (8-11) at Yarmouth 6f hcp 0-95 (3) gf in Jul.

Swendab (IRE) 9-2 (8-12) Disputed lead until ridden 2f out, soon weakened, last of 7, 14l behind Decent Fella (8-7) at Yarmouth 6f hcp 0-85 (4) gf in Jul.
Tom Sawyer 4-1 (9-0) Towards rear, pushed along over 2f out, ridden over 1f out, never dangerous, 7th of 8, 8l behind Perfect Muse (9-5) at Sandown 5f hcp 0-80 (4) gf in Jul.
