In depth
Verdict
Storm Survivor has had five runs over fences without showing any ability but was the surprise winner of a decent contest over hurdles at Doncaster in December so may be capable of better. Smart Act showed promise over hurdles but was well beaten on his chasing debut and may need more experience. Samenerve was having his 14th start over fences when landing a minor handicap at Towcester and has since been pulled up at Newcastle and though winning point-to-pointer and bumper Danandy was always likely to do better when tackling regulation fences his two latest runs over hurdles offer little encouragement. Big News is bred to be a staying chaser so his debut run over fences over the minimum trip here last week was very encouraging and he looks the main threat to REGINALDHINO, who has won two Leicester handicaps in effortless style and looks to have more improvement in him.
