Willie Mullins can complete an opening race double via TASITIOCHT, who put a hurdling debut fall at Gowran behind her to score comfortably at Navan where she could always be seen going nicely. An entry in the Future Champions Novice Hurdle at Leopardstown suggests she's held in high regard and it will be a surprise if she's beaten though she's taking on strong company. Spring Hawk has only won once over timber but is a good yardstick as she's raced in decent company throughout while Somedaysomehow showed the benefit of dropping back in trip to beat a good field at Fairyhouse and there should be more to come. She had Carries Darling a long way behind that day and the latter looked suited by 2m4f when beating a big field at Clonmel last month.
Tasitiocht (IRE) 5-4fav (11-7) Led, jumped right, headed after 6th, 3rd entering straight, 4th 3 out, travelled well to lead approaching last, pushed out to assert run-in, easily, won at Navan 2m 4f mdn hdl sft in Sep beating Celtic Cailin (11-7) by 6l, 20 ran.
Carries Darling 11-2 (11-7) Chased leaders, 6th halfway, headway into 2nd 4 out, led after 3 out, ridden after 2 out, kept on well, comfortably, won at Clonmel 2m 4f mdn hdl in Nov beating Miss Palm (10-6) by 2 1/2l, 17 ran.
Somedaysomehow (IRE) 14-1 (10-8) Waited with, progress 4 out, soon tracking leaders, challenged 2 out, gained marginal lead approaching last, stayed on well run-in, won at Fairyhouse 2m mares mdn hdl in Oct beating Celtic Cailin (10-13) by 1 1/4l, 16 ran.
Spring Hawk (IRE) 10-1 (10-7) Tracked leaders on inner, 6th halfway, 4th 3 out and ridden next, went 3rd before last and kept on same pace without troubling winner, 3rd of 10, 1 3/4l behind Top Madam (10-10) at Wexford 2m 4f hdl gd in Oct.
Cut The Cake (IRE) 12-1 (10-9) Soon towards rear, never a factor, 11th of 14, well behind Sizing Machine (10-13) at Down Royal 2m 4yo mdn hdl gs in Aug.
Paddys Angel (IRE) 25-1 (11-2) Tracked leaders in 3rd, no extra and weakened approaching straight, 10th of 12, 48l behind Casablanca Lily (10-13) at Limerick 2m ladies NHF hvy in Nov.
Caitlin Brook (IRE) 25-1 (10-6) Tracked leaders in 3rd, ridden in 5th approaching 3 out and soon no extra, weakened and pulled up before 2 out, in a race won by Pique Sous (11-12) at Thurles 2m Maiden Hurdle (5-6yo) in Oct, 18 ran.
