This looks a question of whether AUPCHARLIE has regained confidence after two falls. A Grade 1 runner-up for Willie Mullins in 2012, he's contested much higher class races than this and was still in touch when falling two out in a Grade 2 at Gowran in February. He's receiving 4lb from both Caim Hill and Lambro which should enable him to return to winning ways. The former is an excellent dual-purpose performer with 13 victories from 49 career starts in all kinds of disciplines. He hasn't been seen since November but won't mind the ground and looks better at this stage than Lambro, whose last run came when pulling up at Listowel in September. Miley Shah was having just his fourth start over fences when gaining a very impressive victory at Naas last month and there should be more to come.
Lambro (IRE) 25-1 (11-1) Soon mid-division, a bit slow 8th and dropped towards rear, not a factor after, pulled up before 2 out, in a race won by White Star Line (10-4) at Listowel 3m sft in Sep, 18 ran.
Aupcharlie (IRE) 4-1 (11-3) Chased leader in 2nd, 3rd before straight, ridden 3 out, under pressure and disputing 3rd when fell 2 out, in a race won by Argocat (11-8) at Gowran Park 2m 4f chs Grd 2 (1) hvy in Feb, 4 ran.
Miley Shah (IRE) 11-4 (11-12) Made all, went clear from 3 out, stayed on strongly from last, easily, won at Naas 2m beg chase sft in Mar beating Back To Balloo (11-12) by 17l, 9 ran.
Caim Hill (IRE) 6-4fav (11-10) Chased leader in 2nd, close up 6 out, led 4 out, ridden and headed entering straight, no extra in 2nd 2 out, kept on same pace, 2nd of 8, 9l behind Come To The Party (11-0) at Limerick 3m hcp chs (10yo+) in Nov.
Rubert (IRE) 16-1 (10-8) Prominent and disputed from 3rd, led briefly after 5th, headed before 4 out and soon no extra, weakened, 10th of 14, well behind Foritsa (9-4) at Wexford 2m 3f hcp chs (10yo+) in Mar.
Glen Ode (IRE) 33-1 (10-11) Held up in mid-division until mistake and unseated rider 7th, in a race won by Loch Dara (11-3) at Gowran Park 3m 1f hts chs sft in Mar, 10 ran.
Tinakellylad (IRE) 16-1 (11-13) Chased leaders, led 5th, mistake next, clear and disputed from halfway, ridden in 5th after 4 out, soon no extra and weakened, pulled up before 2 out, in a race won by Too Late To Sell (10-1) at Punchestown 3m 1f in Jan, 19 ran.
