Smadynium arrives at the top his game having won here and at Sedgefield in his last two starts. But he's entering unknown territory regards trip today and is only getting 7lb from SALUBRIOUS. The top weight wasn't beaten far in a competitive heat at Newbury last time and his earlier second to At Fishers Cross at the Berkshire track could hardly have worked out any better - this is a significant drop in grade. Los Nadis is likely to make the running and could easily hang on for a place as Divers and The Panama Kid are better over fences while both Fine Kingdom and Father Shine have a bit to prove at this level. Barenger should be thereabouts, however, while Flat winner Lexington Bay may be finally starting to head in the right direction and is worth noting for future reference.
