Verdict
EARL Of CARRICK almost pulled off a shock victory two weeks ago when just outbattled by Maali. He looked the winner inside the final furlong but the lack of experience told and he was run out of it by a horse rated 30lb higher. There's better to come and he's handed the vote but the assessor has hit him with a massive 15lb rise and Midnight Moon, who wasn't beaten far, must have a chance at the revised weights. Bin Shamardal does all of his winning at Sharjah where he had Uptown Guy just behind when scoring there last month with Coeur Loyal, Ektibaas, Skycruiser and Florentine Ruler all well beaten. Karma Chameleon ran really well behind Profundo Rosso in November and though he produced a shocker at Jebel Ali a week later he's much better than that and should get involved.
