In depth

Verdict

Table Rock justified strong market confidence at the Curragh on seasonal reappearance and with entries in the Irish Derby and Royal Ascot, he'd realistically need to be winning this in order to justify any of those lofty targets. No such ambitions are held by PIT STOP but the son of Ifraaj caught the eye with a debut success at Dundalk and he could be the type to kickstart the campaign for Mick Halford. The trainer also saddles Warbird, and despite the steadier of topweight, he showed he is more than capable of shouldering it with victory in a rated race at Gowran Park. Zafayan won a maiden here last month over 1m2f and accounted for two promising sorts in the process. Tango Time made amends for an odds-on flop at Cork with an easy win in an all-age maiden at the Mallow venue ten days ago and he should go close.
