Quite a few of these have been plying their trade over jumps of late with Karl Marx making most appeal in receipt of weight all round. However, NEWTONS CROSS has found his feet with a vengeance since being upped to staying trips on the all-weather, landing three of his last four starts all under today's talented young rider. He didn't run at all badly on his first two starts on Turf as a juvenile and is hard to oppose in his current form. Red Four was withdrawn from his intended reappearance, having been in good form over timber earlier this year. He looks a potential improver at this sort of level and rates a threat to all.
