CAULFIELDS VENTURE looks the obvious one here even though he is still creeping up the weights. He was second over this trip at Chepstow last month and arrives in much better form than most of his rivals. A case could be made for Farewellatmidnight on his best form while Over And Above has been a little better since returning from a break. Qualitee alternates between hurdles and fences but is back on a winning mark and makes more appeal than Folie A Deux and Dukeofchesterwood.
Dukeofchesterwood 9-4fav (10-10) Tracked leaders, ridden after 6th, outpaced 3 out, rallied next, no impression, 4th of 8, 14l behind Mansonien L'as (10-13) at Kelso 2m 7f hcp chs 0-95 (5) hvy in Jan.

Folie A Deux (IRE) 50-1 (10-3) Chased leaders, ridden before last, soon weakened, 8th of 19, 18l behind Mrs Eff (9-7) at Wetherby 2m 6f hcp hdl 0-115 (4) gs in Apr.
Caulfields Venture (IRE) 6-1 (11-2) Held up in rear, steady headway to chase leaders on inside before 5 out, went 3rd before 3 out, went 2nd 2 out, stayed on same pace, no chance with winner, 2nd of 14, 6l behind Oddjob (11-6) at Chepstow 3m hcp chs 0-100 (5) gd in Apr.
