There is almost certainly more to come from October's Haydock runner-up Deepsand and Trend Is My Friend, fourth on his hurdling debut at Newbury and a winner on the Flat, but HIDDEN JUSTICE sets a decent standard. John Quinn's gelding was a decent middle-distance performer on the level and made a smooth transition to hurdles when winning by 15 lengths at Wetherby. The second won easily here next time so the form looks solid and he can defy his penalty. Travis County may prove the pick of Brian Ellison's newcomers but has his stamina to prove.
Hidden Justice (IRE) 10-1 (11-0) Mid-division, headway on outside after 5th, tracked leading pair before bypassed 3 out, came towards stands side rail and led between last 2, soon clear, ran on well, won at Wetherby 2m 3yo hdl (4) hvy in Dec beating Only Orsenfoolsies (10-7) by 15l, 11 ran.
Deepsand (IRE) 11-2 (10-12) Held up in rear early, went 4th before 3 out, went 3rd before 2 out, ridden to chase winner after last, kept on and always held, 2nd of 5, 3l behind Right To Rule (10-12) at Haydock 2m 3yo hdl (4) gs in Oct.
Trend Is My Friend (USA) 11-4 (10-12) Tracked leaders, took keen hold, switched left after 3 out, mistake and led 2 out, soon headed, stayed on same pace flat, 4th of 6, 4 1/2l behind Seventh Sign (10-12) at Newbury 2m 4yo hdl (4) sft in Jan.
Travis County (IRE) 15-2 (8-11) Dwelt, held up mid-division, headway over 1f out, soon no impression, 5th of 11, 6l behind On The Hoof (8-12) at Wolverhampton 7f hcp 0-75 (5) pol in Dec (flat).
Stickleback 8-1 (10-10) Always towards rear, struggling from 5th, 3rd of 8, 46l behind Miss Conduct (10-10) at Catterick 2m Fillies Juvenile Hurdle (4yo) (4) sft in Jan.

Liliargh (IRE) 6-1 (8-4) Slowly into stride, towards rear, never dangerous, 6th of 12, 9l behind Lady Layla (7-12) at Leicester 7f clm stks (6) sft in Oct (flat).
