Roger Teal was delighted Tigers Tale secured an overdue success last time out and is looking for a repeat performance in the Betfred Mobile Sports Handicap at Kempton on Saturday.

Oisin Murphy: Takes ride on Tigers Tale
Oisin Murphy: Takes ride on Tigers Tale

The five-year-old ended a losing streak going back to June 2012 when rallying well to beat Liberty Jack by a neck over this mile last month, after running several good races in defeat.

Tigers Tale was put up 3lb for that victory, and Teal has nullified the raise by booking talented 3lb claiming apprentice Oisin Murphy for the ride.

The Surrey trainer said: "Fair play to him, he was due that one. He'd run so well last year without reward and it was a good start to the season for him. Hopefully he can put in another big run, which would be nice.

"He's come out of the race fine and Oisin (Murphy) is riding him. He's taking the 3lb off which he went up, so that might help us out a bit. He seems in good heart so we'll go there and see."

Edward Creighton feels Big Whiskey has benefited for his seasonal debut two weeks ago when he was third behind Purcell in a seven-furlong handicap.

"He came out of the race grand, it was a good introduction race for him. It was good to get that run into him," said the Kent trainer.

"We've got a good draw (two) and we're very happy with that. He's in really good form and I think he should run a really good race."

Sea Shanty shaped well on his first run over the course and distance in late October and trainer Richard Hannon believes that experience will stand The Queen's four-year-old in good stead.

"Ryan (Moore) has only ridden him once, winning at Sandown, and the horse ran well on his only previous visit here, so, hopefully, he will again be competitive," he told www.richardhannonracing.co.uk.
