Leading RSA Chase candidate Pride Of Dulcote could be back on the racecourse over the Christmas period after suffering a splint injury on his jumping debut at Worcester last month.
Paul Nicholls' six-year-old was second over hurdles at last year's Cheltenham Festival and looked set to take high rank amongst the novice chase division when winging his way around Worcester.
He returned from that striking debut with an injury, but is working his way back to full health and the champion trainer is eyeing a festive return.
Nicholls said: "He has had a splint since winning at Worcester. He has just started back cantering again and will run somewhere over Christmas."
