Tom Cooper is looking forward to seeing his stable star Forpadydeplasterer make his belated reappearance in what promises to be an informative renewal of the Grade Two Ladbrokes.com Chase at Down Royal.

Last year's Arkle Trophy hero missed an intended engagement at Naas a week ago due to testing conditions and Cooper is hoping the ground is not too soft for Saturday's contest.

"I'm very happy with the horse and hopefully the ground won't be too soft," said Cooper.

"We're going back over two and a half miles again but he has run well over the trip before so hopefully he'll be fine.

"It's a good race and if our horse wins it's a bonus as we just want him to get a run and come home safe and sound."

Just five horses are set to go to post for the Grade Two event, with Paul Nicholls sending Herecomesthetruth over from England.

Dessie Hughes' smart Siegemaster, Good Fella and Saddler's Native complete the line-up.
