Ryan Moore had his first taste of the Santa Anita track since his victory on Conduit last year as he partnered Breeders' Cup Mile hope Zacinto in a gentle workout.
Just days after being crowned champion jockey in England for a third time, Moore will be looking to add to his big-race tally in America.
Zacinto worked with stablemates and Breeders' Cup Turf hopes Conduit and Spanish Moon this morning.
"Zacinto worked on the turf course ahead of the Mile and he seems very well," said Moore.
"I've not sat on Conduit yet but he looks well and is in good order. I've not seen the full field for the Turf but both of ours our very well, Spanish Moon has been improving all year and is a tough horse.
"I'm just glad to be here and it's nice to have a few rides. It's nice to be involved and the more (rides) you have the better."
