Alan Fleming will look for a second-season novice hurdle for Starluck after the four-year-old made a pleasing start to the campaign at Cheltenham.
Last season's Triumph Hurdle fourth earned quotes varying from 16-1 to 25s for the Smurfit Kappa Champion Hurdle thanks to an effortless victory over four rivals on Saturday.
Fleming now hopes to find another suitable race for the gelding before his first major target, the William Hill Christmas Hurdle at Kempton on Boxing Day.
"He's come out of the race perfect. It was very good and we're really pleased," said the Dorking trainer.
"We'll find somewhere for him, hopefully a second-season novice race before Christmas.
"He's done really well over the summer and has got a lot stronger."
