Luca Cumani's Cima De Triomphe had Coral-Eclipse rival Conduit a nose behind when winning the Brigadier Gerard Stakes at Sandown.
Add Derby winner Sea The Stars into the mix and the Italian trainer admits his charge has plenty on his plate on Saturday.
"Obviously it's a big step up from a Group Three to a Group One and we are coming up against a Derby winner and a Breeders' Cup and St Leger winner," said Cumani.
"The horse is in good form and has pleased me in his work so we are hopeful of a good run. I would like to hope he has improved since Sandown but he will have needed to.
"As long as the ground is good or faster that should be fine for him and it's going to be a fantastic race."
