David Pipe's Ashkazar is an 11-4 chance with Sky Bet for the Greatwood Hurdle at Cheltenham on Sunday.
Last season's Imperial Cup winner was paraded in front of journalists at a Paddy Power-sponsored open day at Pond House ahead of the Open Meeting at Prestbury Park this weekend.
The four-year-old gelding was last seen when finishing second behind Crack Away Jack in the Fred Winter Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival and is currently a 16-1 shot for the Champion Hurdle.
Rippling Ring is the 6-1 second favourite for Sunday's race in Sky Bet's book, with Blue Bajan and Aigle d'Or 7-1 chances.
Blue Square make Ashkazar a 7-2 chance and their spokesman George Primarolo said: "It's no real surprise to see Ashkazar at the head of the betting for the Greatwood Hurdle given the way Crack Away Jack has boosted the Fred Winter form and David Pipe's gelding is sure to be popular for Sunday's big race.
"Ripping Ring has to bounce back from a lethargic effort last time out whilst it would be a surprise to see Chomba Womba back on the track so soon after her Elite Hurdle victory so we expect to see plenty of support for Ashkazar."
