Horses nominated recently by connections as ones to follow:
ASHLEY BROOK
Winner at Exeter on Tuesday
Kevin Bishop, trainer
"I don't know what we would have done. Last season we just didn't know what was wrong with him, as he always works so well at home but he didn't want to know. It's great to have the old boy back. I haven't even thought about the future - he is in the Paddy Power Gold Cup but that would probably come a bit quick."
JERED
Winner at Down Royal on Friday
Noel Meade, trainer
"I thought that it was a fair task to give away 11lb to the other horse (Cork All Star). I'm absolutely thrilled with him. I was as impressed with him today as I ever was. We'll see what happens, but I would say the next obvious race is to go to Punchestown for the Morgiana Hurdle."
KAUTO STAR
Winner at Down Royal on Saturday
Paul Nicholls, trainer
"He was just awesome today. He had been doing everything right at home and did a piece of work with Twist Magic three weeks ago that made us think we could run him in anything - two miles even. He has not taken anything out of himself and hopefully it is onwards and upwards for the Betfair Chase (at Haydock, November 22)."
LETHAL WEAPON
Winner at Cork on Sunday
Christy Roche, trainer
"We are going to send him over to the Cheltenham meeting in a couple of weeks for a three-year-old hurdle. He's improved since his last run and Alan Crowe said he's a horse that will show more speed on better ground."
OUMEYADE
Winner at Exeter on Thursday
Paul Nicholls, trainer
"He's some improved horse and his rating keeps going up but he is a novice to the end of the year. He won't go left-handed, so won't even get a Cheltenham entry."
PENNY'S GIFT
Winner at Newmarket on Friday
"She is a talented filly and the good news is she stays in training next year. She stayed on over seven furlongs in the Rockfel last time and she could be a Guineas filly."
TRANQUIL SEA
Winner at Cork on Sunday
Edward O'Grady, trainer
"That's as much as we could have expected. I was a little concerned that he was jumping out to the right in the straight, but apart from that it all went very well. He has a great appetite for a fence and the Drinmore Chase at Fairyhouse on November 30 is the next logical step."
RESOUNDING GLORY
Winner at Wetherby on Friday
Richard Fahey, trainer
"There is a race for him at Cheltenham's Open meeting but sometimes they get a silly penalty for those races, so we will have to see. But we have got to be thinking about the Triumph Hurdle."
WENDEL
Winner at Plumpton on Monday
Charlie Mann, trainer
"I put him up as one to follow in my stable tour, so I can't believe he was that price (10-1. He won at Deauville over a mile and a half on his last race and had decent form in Germany. I wish I was a betting man, as we think he's a lovely horse."
YES SIR
Winner at Wetherby on Friday
Tom Healey, part-owner
"The plan now is to go for the Paddy Power Gold Cup at Cheltenham and he needed to go up in the weights to make sure he'd get in. He picked up a virus and it took us a year to really find out what it was. "It is great to see that he has come back to his best. Seamus (Durack) was pleased with him and hopefully he'll run a big race at Cheltenham."
