"He's fine. His best form is on soft ground so we are delighted with the downpour. He copes with really testing conditions better than most so it gives him a real advantage. His form this season is good and it has been boosted by Many Volumes. He's entitled to be favourite, put it that way."

"Ten furlongs on soft ground are his optimum conditions so I'm more than hopeful of a big run. He's run some big races this season and was a little unlucky at Great Leighs last time. He's got a chance and is certainly no outsider."

"We didn't fancy him at Royal Ascot. We knew he was in good form, but we didn't fancy him simply because it was such a hot race. He showed everyone what a good horse he is. The form has worked out well with Many Volumes winning since. His best form is on decent, fast ground so the rain is a concern, he wouldn't want it soft. Rather like Ascot I'm not expecting to win. But he has a nice draw in five and he's in good form so we'll see."

"He's drawn well in what ought to be a good stall, it's usually better there than being drawn out wide. He's in very good form at the moment, I'm very pleased with him and he's a progressive sort. I think we just sent him too far at Royal Ascot last time and he is a very big horse, who should keep on improving with time. He's probably not the finished article just yet and will be even better with another winter on his back. It's a tough race tomorrow but I hope he'll run very well. He should hopefully be able to sit fairly handy and should be able to gallop strongly all the way and be a force to be reckoned with. I'm very hopeful of his chance and my only reservation is that he's still improving and will get stronger with more time."

"He's been struggling a bit since he won this last year. He's lost a bit of confidence but hopefully the rain will help."

"She's a very tough filly who's in fine form but it's hard for her off her current mark. We've put Frederik Tylicky on her to take off 7lbs which will hopefully help. He's doing well but it's a big day and a big test for him tomorrow. Any rain will help her chance."

"Fish has lots of ability and he's another one who will like the ground. I'm just a bit unsure about him trip wise, but if he gets it, he has every chance."

"We should learn a lot from his run tomorrow. The big question mark is the trip - he's never run over it before and I'm not sure if he'll get it. We'll see."
