It's a very strong card for the Shergar Cup at Ascot on Saturday and some competitive races despite the fact there's only 10 runners in each.
There is one horse that stands out for me on the card and that is Marcus Tregoning's Boom And Bust in the first race, the Les Ambassadeurs Casino Shergar Cup Mile Handicap.
He ran a cracker in the Betfred Mile at Glorious Goodwood last week, a race he'd won last year.
Whereas last year he was drawn on the inside, this year he was drawn badly. Yet somehow he got to the inside rail and nothing was finishing better behind Fulbright.
This looks a less competitive race and, with Kieren Fallon taking the mount, he's likely to take plenty of beating.
Later on in the Barclays Shergar Cup Dash Handicap I like the fact that Frankie Dettori takes the mount on Elnawin who likes to bowl along in front.
He beat the useful Noble Storm in a conditions event over the course and distance last year and hasn't been running badly in less than ideal ground recently.
Back on a decent surface he can go close.
And finally, in the Michael Page International Shergar Cup Challenge Handicap, Life And Soul should run a good race.
He's another previous course and distance winner, ran well at this meeting last year and looked a picture of health before finishing fifth at Goodwood last week.
