Ebor in Retirement plans
Shergar Cup winner Retirement Plan is under consideration for a tilt at the Betfred Ebor at York on Saturday week.
Lady Cecil's Monsun colt finished fourth behind red-hot Ebor favourite Pallasator on his penultimate start at Ascot and took a step up to two miles in his stride when successful back in Berkshire under Canadian rider Emma-Jayne Wilson.
The four-year-old come now come back in trip for Europe's most valuable staying handicap on the Knavesmire.
Teddy Grimthorpe, racing manager for owner Khalid Abdullah, said: "We'll certainly take a look at the Ebor.
"He'd be on the edge of getting in, I would think.
"We were very pleased with him at Ascot and it was a good day."
Abdullah also has Brass Ring in contention for the Ebor, but Grimthorpe said: "We'll have a look, but I would think it is unlikely he will run.
"We're probably looking at something more like the Doncaster Cup for him."
The Sir Mark Prescott-trained Pallasator has been all the rage since his victory at Ascot at the end of last month, with the subsequent Glorious Goodwood triumph of the runner-up, Double Bluff, further enhancing his claims.
Prescott's Hasten To Add was a winning favourite of the 1994 Ebor, but the Newmarket handler is taking nothing for granted.
"He's fine and, mathematically, everybody has worked out he's got a great chance with the way the race at Ascot worked out," Prescott told At The Races.
"I sort of feel that logic tells me if everything went right he should win, but something always defies you in those sorts of races."
Richard Fahey, David O'Meara, Niall Hannity and Mark Howard are on the panel for a special York Ebor Meeting preview night, to be held at the racecourse on Tuesday August 19.
