Ben Linfoot seeks out the value from the feature action at York on Saturday. There are no real stars on show the weekend before Royal Ascot but a couple of really competitive handicaps make for good betting heats including the Betfred 'Double Delight' Handicap at Sandown, although my selection Brownsea Brink has been pulled out. Up at York the BetBright Charity Sprint for three-year-olds takes centre stage and you could easily make a case for half the field such is the quality. Still, I've whittled it down to two I like at the prices, the first being GAMESOME at 14/1 for Olly Stevens. He's one of the most unexposed horses in the field after just three runs and looked a sprinter of some potential on his second start as a juvenile when blitzing his maiden at Nottingham. On his seasonal reappearance he was pitched into Listed company over seven furlongs at Newmarket which shows how highly-regarded he is by connections. He pulled way too hard that day and was eased home at the back of the field, but he looks well worth another go now dropped back in trip and has a nice stands' side draw to work from. Hopefully the excellent Harry Bentley can get him settled with plenty of cover so he can make a late challenge up the stands' side rail. The other one I want to back is KICKBOXER at 22/1 given he's graduated from the hottest three-year-old sprint run on the Knavesmire this season. He was third to G Force over five furlongs, a horse that runs in the Scurry Stakes up at Sandown and has potential Group One targets later in the campaign. Kickboxer couldn't live with him when he was third behind him last month, but he was doing his best work at the finish and looks well worth another go here over six. A winner over the minimum trip at Leicester last time, the step back up to six could squeeze out further improvement and 22/1 looks big for this consistent and progressive type.
