There were just eight horses removed at Monday's forfeit stage, with Roi Du Mee, Katenko, Bog Warrior, Mossey Joe, Godsmejudge, Same Difference, Goulanes and Sunnyhillboy all out of the reckoning.

Tidal Bay will shoulder 11-10 and attempt to become the first horse since Red Rum to carry top weight to victory in the Aintree spectacular.

The 13-year-old, who unseated his rider in the 2011 Grand National, could be joined in the line-up by stablemates Rocky Creek, Hawkes Point and There's No Panic, although the latter is not guaranteed to get a run.

Second on the list is Nicky Henderson's pair of Long Run (11-9) and Hunt Ball(11-7), while the Seven Barrows handler is also responsible for Hennessy hero Triolo D'Alene (11-6) and Shakalakaboomboom (10-3), who sneaks in near the bottom of the handicap.

The betting market is headed by last year's third Teaforthree (10-12), who represents Rebecca Curtis.

Other leading contenders to have stood their ground are Monbeg Dude, Rocky Creek and Burton Port, while Prince De Beauchene and Double Seven are two of Ireland's main hopes.

The final horse to get into the field is One In A Milan for the Evan Williams.

As things stand the four reserves are Gooneyella, Swing Bill, Soll and Minella For Value.
