The 20/1 shot, trained by Jim Culloty, came from miles off the pace to beat On His Own and an unlucky The Giant Bolster, who was badly hampered at the last.
Davy Russell held the winner up in last place as Knockara Beau set the early pace and he was still 10 lengths off the pace when Silviniaco Conti cruised into the lead after the third last.
For a while it appeared Paul Nicholls' runner and favourite Bobs Worth would fight out the finish with On His Own dropping away and the other placed horses under strong pressure.
There was almost carnage two out when On His Own jumped right, hampering The Giant Bolster, and giving Lord Windermere the chance to come up on his inside.
But they were still fourth, fifth and sixth coming to the last as Silviniaco Conti led Bobs Worth over, only for both of them to falter soon after and come home in fourth and fifth.
Out wider, Russell had Lord Windermere in full flight and despite drifting a little into On His Own, the partnership had enough in hand to win by a short-head with The Giant Bolster less than a length away.
On His Own, who was supplemented for this race, was cut to 10/1 from 14s for the Crabbies Grand National by Sky Bet.
