Katie T got the better of odds-on favourite Shield to claim the Paddy Power Cash Card Maiden Hurdle at Naas in the hands of Adrian Heskin.
Shield was the 9-10 market leader to go one better than when second on his last two jumping starts, representing the formidable trio of owner JP McManus, Aidan O'Brien and Tony McCoy.
The five-year-old travelled well on the heels of the leaders before being sent into the lead halfway up the home straight.
However, 5-1 shot Katie T, a rare runner over jumps for multiple Group One-winning Flat trainer Kevin Prendergast, came to join Shield at the final hurdle and found most for pressure on the run-in to take top honours by a length and a half.
Heskin said: "She quickened up well and has plenty of speed from her Flat days.
"She's by Beneficial and handles this ground well."
McManus and McCoy enjoyed better luck in the Best Odds In Your Paddy Power Shop Handicap Hurdle as Getoutwhenyoucan completed his hat-trick.
Charlie Swan's 7-4 favourite fluffed his lines at the final two flights and a good leap at the last from Somethingwonderful looked to have given him the initiative.
But Getoutwhenyoucan came back under a typically power-packed McCoy drive to get up by half a length.
Swan said: "It helps having Tony, but I don't know who gave him a harder ride from the last, me or him!
"He's normally a good jumper but he missed the last two today. He loves that ground and it helps that he gets a bit further.
"It's great that he's won three in a row. We'll probably look at running in a better class handicap now."
