The five-year-old won the 2012 King George V Stakes at Royal Ascot when trained by Mark Johnston but is now in the care of John Ferguson.
Sent off the 11/8 favourite in the hands of Jack Quinlan, Fennell Bay ran out a 14-length winner over 66/1 shot Cappielow Park, pleasing his rider in the process.
Quinlan told At The Races: "He just hit a bit of a flat spot and then hit one down the back.
"He's tackled all types of ground before and acquitted himself well so I wasn't too worried (about the ground). He handled it well.
"I'm not sure what he's beaten but he's done it how a favourite should.
"I think he'll be given a bit of a break now. All he can do is win and we will see what the future brings."
